We’re not there yet. I was totally restless on our overnight flight to Rome — trying desperately to sleep as I knew we’d lose time once we arrived (we’re taking advantage of our layover in Italy — staying a few days before we head to Ethiopia). At one point I was sleeping on the floor, which illustrates how bad it was as I would wear a face mask, plastic gloves, and full body suit on airplanes if it was socially acceptable.
Then it dawned on me that we have 17 hours back …with two toddlers …that we will have just met. Oh boy.
Here’s a few pics from our trip thus far:
Waiting in Philly for our flight…

Acting as if we’re newlyweds in Almalfi…
Before this starts to feel like you’re looking at your second cousin’s pictures from their cruise last year, I’ll spare you. Next time we post photos … it will hopefully be of our union with our children on Saturday.
Let the countdown continue…3 more days!

Can I just say that I LOVE seeing pictures of you and Nate w/umbrella strollers in the background!!! LOVE IT!!!
Hi. We have not met but I have been following your blog for a while now. We are also waiting to adopt siblings from Ethiopia, and I just wanted to express how happy I am for you that you were able to travel this week to meet your children. Your blog has been so informative and inspirational to me and I just wanted to wish you well. Safe travels. Connie
Congratulations Nate and Sara!! I have loved reading your blog and following your adventure!! Every time I read, I can feel the spirit of adoption on you guys and it’s really a glimpse into the heart of God. Sitting on the edge of my seat to see what happens next!!
I wondered when the flight was gonna hit you
You’ll make it, they are just as excited as you are. And you’ve got you giant kid Nate!
